Cathy is young and fertile. She offers a no strings attached, 'Under-the table' method of surrogate motherhood. With all conventional approaches exhausted and nowhere else to turn, Stellan and Diane throw caution to the wind and accept her generous, if illicit, offer and soon she is pregnant with Stellan's child. When Stellan's overbearing boss, bob, meets Cathy and they fall deeply in love, a whirlwind of complications ensues, not the least of which is Bob's new-found to start a family-with Cathy's (and Stellan's) baby.
